Of the 114 pupils who finished Year 11 at Copthall School in 2023, 54% stayed on in Copthall School’s own sixth form (Barnet average 63%), 29% went to a further education college and none started an apprenticeship.

Among the 106 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 52% went to university (Barnet 55%, England 37%), and 12% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Sociology is unusually popular at GCSE: 34% of the year group took it, against 4% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 47.4 against 46.1 across England and 56.7 in Barnet, with 40% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
