Of the 152 pupils who finished Year 11 at Bishop Douglass School Finchley in 2023, 76% stayed on in Bishop Douglass School Finchley’s own sixth form (Barnet average 63%), 12% went to a further education college and 1% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 122 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 74% went to university (Barnet 55%, England 37%), and 18% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Religious Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 99% of the year group took it, against 31% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 52.5 against 46.1 across England and 56.7 in Barnet, with 54% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
