Of the 191 pupils who finished Year 11 at Congleton High School in 2023, 50% stayed on in Congleton High School’s own sixth form (Cheshire East average 40%), 27% went to a further education college and 6% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 132 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 36% went to university (Cheshire East 27%, England 37%), and 12% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.
Spanish is unusually popular at GCSE: 57% of the year group took it, against 19% of pupils across England.
