What the data says

Of the 84 pupils who finished Year 11 at Crewe Engineering and Design UTC in 2023, 25% stayed on in Crewe Engineering and Design UTC’s own sixth form (Cheshire East average 40%), 39% went to a further education college and 6% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 39 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 18% went to university (Cheshire East 27%, England 37%), and 0% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 21% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.

GCSE results in 2025 were well below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 32.4 against 46.1 across England and 47.1 in Cheshire East, with 19% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
