What the data says
Of the 197 pupils who finished Year 11 at Hampstead School in 2023, 59% stayed on in Hampstead School’s own sixth form (Camden average 64%), 24% went to a further education college and 1% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 136 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 56% went to university (Camden 38%, England 37%), and 25% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.
Statistics is unusually popular at GCSE: 31% of the year group took it, against 5% of pupils across England.
GCSE results in 2025 were below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 43.1 against 46.1 across England and 46.9 in Camden, with 43% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
