What the data says

Of the 261 pupils who finished Year 11 at St John's Marlborough in 2023, 62% stayed on in St John's Marlborough’s own sixth form (Wiltshire average 43%), 27% went to a further education college and 2% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 208 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 47% went to university (Wiltshire 31%, England 37%), and 31% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Photography is unusually popular at GCSE: 25% of the year group took it, against 6% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 50.9 against 46.1 across England and 46.2 in Wiltshire, with 57% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
