What the data says

Of the 185 pupils who finished Year 11 at Platanos College in 2023, 56% stayed on in Platanos College’s own sixth form (Lambeth average 51%), 23% went to a further education college and none started an apprenticeship.

A level grades average E+, well below the England average of B-; 0% of students achieved AAB or better including two facilitating subjects (England 18%). The largest A level subjects are Psychology, Fine Art and Law.

Religious Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 90% of the year group took it, against 31% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 40.8 against 46.1 across England and 45.4 in Lambeth, with 36% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
