Of the 403 pupils who finished Year 11 at Ivybridge Community College in 2023, 48% stayed on in Ivybridge Community College’s own sixth form (Devon average 23%), 31% went to a further education college and 11% started an apprenticeship.

Apprenticeships are a real route from here: 11% of leavers started one, roughly three times the England figure of 3%.

GCSE results in 2025 were well above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 55.2 against 46.1 across England and 45.4 in Devon, with 72% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Media Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 27% of the year group took it, against 4% of pupils across England.
