What the data says
Of the 198 pupils who finished Year 11 at Rednock School in 2023, 36% stayed on in Rednock School’s own sixth form (Gloucestershire average 46%), 24% went to a further education college and 8% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 76 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 28% went to university (Gloucestershire 36%, England 37%), and 17% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 20% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.
Apprenticeships are a real route from here: 8% of leavers started one, roughly twice the England figure of 3%.
Fine Art is unusually popular at GCSE: 28% of the year group took it, against 9% of pupils across England.
