What the data says
Of the 214 pupils who finished Year 11 at Buckingham School in 2023, 33% stayed on in Buckingham School’s own sixth form (Buckinghamshire average 61%), 44% went to a further education college and 5% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 53 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 40% went to university (Buckinghamshire 52%, England 37%), and 3% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 13% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.
Photography is unusually popular at GCSE: 20% of the year group took it, against 6% of pupils across England.
