Hailsham Academy has no sixth form. Of the 214 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 6% moved to a sixth form college, 50% to a further education college and 2% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 81 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 22% went to university (East Sussex 21%, England 37%), and 6% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

A level grades average C-, well below the England average of B-; 0% of students achieved AAB or better including two facilitating subjects (England 18%). The largest A level subjects are Psychology, Mathematics and Biology.
