Of the 149 pupils who finished Year 11 at Lady Lumley's Academy in 2023, 38% stayed on in Lady Lumley's Academy’s own sixth form (North Yorkshire average 34%), 20% went to a further education college and 6% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 52 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 58% went to university (North Yorkshire 42%, England 37%), and 17% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.
Media Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 29% of the year group took it, against 4% of pupils across England.
GCSE results in 2025 were above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 52.7 against 46.1 across England and 46.5 in North Yorkshire, with 70% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
