Of the 235 pupils who finished Year 11 at Harris Academy Ockendon in 2023, 35% stayed on in Harris Academy Ockendon’s own sixth form (Thurrock average 30%), 44% went to a further education college and 6% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 101 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 56% went to university (Thurrock 63%, England 37%), and 19% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.
French is unusually popular at GCSE: 58% of the year group took it, against 18% of pupils across England.
GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 47.3 against 46.1 across England and 45.2 in Thurrock, with 49% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
