Of the 204 pupils who finished Year 11 at The Thomas Adams School in 2023, 25% stayed on in The Thomas Adams School’s own sixth form (Shropshire average 15%), 18% went to a further education college and 6% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 98 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 48% went to university (Shropshire 36%, England 37%), and 30% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Sixth form colleges are the main next step: 34% of leavers went to one, roughly twice the England rate of 13%.

French is unusually popular at GCSE: 51% of the year group took it, against 18% of pupils across England.
