What the data says

Manchester Enterprise Academy Central has no sixth form. Of the 210 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 35% moved to a sixth form college, 35% to a further education college and none started an apprenticeship.

Sixth form colleges are the main next step: 35% of leavers went to one, roughly twice the England rate of 13%.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 46.1 against 46.1 across England and 44.8 in Manchester, with 44% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Almost nobody goes straight into an apprenticeship or a job: none took an apprenticeship and 1% went into work, against 3% and 3% across England.
