What the data says
Swinton Academy has no sixth form. Of the 177 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 11% moved to a sixth form college, 47% to a further education college and 6% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 41 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 66% went to university (Rotherham 29%, England 37%), and 0% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.
Religious Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 87% of the year group took it, against 31% of pupils across England.
