What the data says

Of the 324 pupils who finished Year 11 at South Bromsgrove High in 2023, 53% stayed on in South Bromsgrove High’s own sixth form (Worcestershire average 31%), 28% went to a further education college and 4% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 168 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 57% went to university (Worcestershire 34%, England 37%), and 21% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

French is unusually popular at GCSE: 69% of the year group took it, against 18% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 46.1 against 46.1 across England and 44.2 in Worcestershire, with 46% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
