Of the 132 pupils who finished Year 11 at Avonbourne Girls Academy in 2023, 43% stayed on in Avonbourne Girls Academy’s own sixth form (Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole average 45%), 41% went to a further education college and 2% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 19 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 63% went to university (Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole 31%, England 37%), and 17% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.
GCSE results in 2025 were above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 53.0 against 46.1 across England and 50.5 in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, with 62% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
