What the data says

Of the 256 pupils who finished Year 11 at The Streetly Academy in 2023, 41% stayed on in The Streetly Academy’s own sixth form (Walsall average 43%), 41% went to a further education college and 9% started an apprenticeship.

Apprenticeships are a real route from here: 9% of leavers started one, roughly three times the England figure of 3%.

Among the 126 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 48% went to university (Walsall 35%, England 37%), and 23% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 12% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.

Spanish is unusually popular at GCSE: 46% of the year group took it, against 19% of pupils across England.
