What the data says

Of the 118 pupils who finished Year 11 at Rugby High School in 2023, 90% stayed on in Rugby High School’s own sixth form (Warwickshire average 43%), 3% went to a further education college and none started an apprenticeship.

Among the 121 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 74% went to university (Warwickshire 35%, England 37%), and 53% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

GCSE results in 2025 were well above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 74.9 against 46.1 across England and 48.0 in Warwickshire, with 99% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%) — as a selective grammar school, Rugby High School admits pupils by test at 11, which drives these figures.

Fine Art is unusually popular at GCSE: 32% of the year group took it, against 9% of pupils across England.
