What the data says

Of the 249 pupils who finished Year 11 at Sirius Academy West in 2023, 22% stayed on in Sirius Academy West’s own sixth form (Kingston upon Hull, City of average 17%), 40% went to a further education college and 7% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 71 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 38% went to university (Kingston upon Hull, City of 34%, England 37%), and 6% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Statistics is unusually popular at GCSE: 36% of the year group took it, against 5% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 38.7 against 46.1 across England and 40.4 in Kingston upon Hull, City of, with 33% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
