Sir John Thursby Community College has no sixth form. Of the 224 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, none moved to a sixth form college, 82% to a further education college and 1% started an apprenticeship.

German is unusually popular at GCSE: 29% of the year group took it, against 5% of pupils across England.

10% of leavers were not in sustained education, employment or training six months on, compared with 6% nationally.
