What the data says

Of the 124 pupils who finished Year 11 at St Bernard's Catholic Grammar School in 2023, 94% stayed on in St Bernard's Catholic Grammar School’s own sixth form (Slough average 57%), 1% went to a further education college and none started an apprenticeship.

Among the 179 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 74% went to university (Slough 46%, England 37%), and 47% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

GCSE results in 2025 were well above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 77.3 against 46.1 across England and 53.1 in Slough, with 98% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%) — as a selective grammar school, St Bernard's Catholic Grammar School admits pupils by test at 11, which drives these figures.

Statistics is unusually popular at GCSE: 49% of the year group took it, against 5% of pupils across England.
