What the data says

Of the 255 pupils who finished Year 11 at Lawnswood School in 2023, 28% stayed on in Lawnswood School’s own sixth form (Leeds average 32%), 33% went to a further education college and 2% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 97 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 56% went to university (Leeds 35%, England 37%), and 9% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

Physics is unusually popular at GCSE: 98% of the year group took it, against 23% of pupils across England.

Most pupils take the three separate sciences: at least 98% sat Biology, Chemistry and Physics as individual GCSEs, compared with about 23% nationally.
