What the data says

Of the 106 pupils who finished Year 11 at Thomas More Catholic School in 2023, 41% stayed on in Thomas More Catholic School’s own sixth form (Croydon average 48%), 47% went to a further education college and none started an apprenticeship.

Media Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 23% of the year group took it, against 4% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 42.1 against 46.1 across England and 44.5 in Croydon, with 38% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Almost nobody goes straight into an apprenticeship or a job: none took an apprenticeship and 2% went into work, against 3% and 3% across England.
