Of the 192 pupils who finished Year 11 at St John Fisher Catholic Voluntary Academy in 2023, 16% stayed on in St John Fisher Catholic Voluntary Academy’s own sixth form (Kirklees average 16%), 52% went to a further education college and 10% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 63 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 24% went to university (Kirklees 42%, England 37%), and 2% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 13% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.
Apprenticeships are a real route from here: 10% of leavers started one, roughly three times the England figure of 3%.
