Batley Grammar School has no sixth form. Of the 156 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 14% moved to a sixth form college, 43% to a further education college and 3% started an apprenticeship.
Business Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 54% of the year group took it, against 18% of pupils across England.
GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 45.5 against 46.1 across England and 46.4 in Kirklees, with 43% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
Almost every leaver found a sustained destination: only 1% were not in education, work or training six months on, against 6% nationally.
