What the data says

Of the 159 pupils who finished Year 11 at Wednesfield Academy in 2023, 37% stayed on in Wednesfield Academy’s own sixth form (Wolverhampton average 45%), 42% went to a further education college and 5% started an apprenticeship.

Among the 55 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 60% went to university (Wolverhampton 42%, England 37%), and 9% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.

French is unusually popular at GCSE: 48% of the year group took it, against 18% of pupils across England.

A level grades average C, below the England average of B-; 8% of students achieved AAB or better including two facilitating subjects (England 18%). The largest A level subjects are Psychology, Mathematics and Chemistry.
