Of the 179 pupils who finished Year 11 at George Dixon Academy in 2023, 29% stayed on in George Dixon Academy’s own sixth form (Birmingham average 33%), 59% went to a further education college and 1% started an apprenticeship.
Among the 49 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 90% went to university (Birmingham 46%, England 37%), and 19% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally.
GCSE results in 2025 were well below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 33.3 against 46.1 across England and 46.6 in Birmingham, with 15% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
