Of the 281 pupils who finished Year 11 at The Farnley Academy in 2023, 22% stayed on in The Farnley Academy’s own sixth form (Leeds average 32%), 43% went to a further education college and 3% started an apprenticeship.

Spanish is unusually popular at GCSE: 39% of the year group took it, against 19% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 49.1 against 46.1 across England and 45.5 in Leeds, with 51% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
