What the data says

Winchcombe School has no sixth form. Of the 97 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 8% moved to a sixth form college, 38% to a further education college and 6% started an apprenticeship.

Media Studies is unusually popular at GCSE: 51% of the year group took it, against 4% of pupils across England.

GCSE results in 2025 were below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 42.8 against 46.1 across England and 50.3 in Gloucestershire, with 32% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Almost every leaver found a sustained destination: only 1% were not in education, work or training six months on, against 6% nationally.
