Debenham High School has no sixth form. Of the 135 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, 1% moved to a sixth form college, 20% to a further education college and 4% started an apprenticeship.

GCSE results in 2025 were well above the national picture: Attainment 8 of 55.7 against 46.1 across England and 42.8 in Suffolk, with 68% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).

Art and Design is unusually popular at GCSE: 24% of the year group took it, against 7% of pupils across England.
