What the data says

Of the 251 pupils who finished Year 11 at Codsall Community High School in 2023, 59% stayed on in Codsall Community High School’s own sixth form (Staffordshire average 33%), 25% went to a further education college and 6% started an apprenticeship.

Food Preparation and Nutrition is unusually popular at GCSE: 28% of the year group took it, against 8% of pupils across England.

Among the 170 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 38% went to university (Staffordshire 33%, England 37%), and 16% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 14% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.

GCSE results in 2025 were in line with the national picture: Attainment 8 of 47.5 against 46.1 across England and 43.9 in Staffordshire, with 48% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
