Of the 150 pupils who finished Year 11 at Ormiston Sudbury Academy in 2023, 14% stayed on in Ormiston Sudbury Academy’s own sixth form (Suffolk average 39%), 55% went to a further education college and 3% started an apprenticeship.
Food Preparation and Nutrition is unusually popular at GCSE: 44% of the year group took it, against 8% of pupils across England.
GCSE results in 2025 were below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 39.6 against 46.1 across England and 42.8 in Suffolk, with 42% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
Languages are a small part of the curriculum here: entries in French add up to 5% of the year group, and 7% of pupils entered the full EBacc set of subjects (England 41%).
