Results below include those reported under the school’s previous registration: York High School (URN 133946, until 28 March 2017).

What the data says

York High School has no sixth form. Of the 148 pupils who finished Year 11 there in 2023, none moved to a sixth form college, 62% to a further education college and 8% started an apprenticeship.

16% of leavers were not in sustained education, employment or training six months on, compared with 6% nationally.

Statistics is unusually popular at GCSE: 39% of the year group took it, against 5% of pupils across England.

Apprenticeships are a real route from here: 8% of leavers started one, roughly twice the England figure of 3%.
