Of the 42 pupils who finished Year 11 at South Devon UTC in 2023, 43% stayed on in South Devon UTC’s own sixth form (Devon average 23%), 31% went to a further education college and none started an apprenticeship.

Among the 22 students who left the sixth form in 2023, 9% went to university (Devon 25%, England 37%), and 7% of level 3 students progressed to one of the most selective universities, against 19% nationally; 18% started an apprenticeship, well above the 7% England average.

GCSE results in 2025 were well below the national picture: Attainment 8 of 25.7 against 46.1 across England and 45.4 in Devon, with 11% of pupils getting grade 5 or above in both English and maths (England 45%).
